Olivia Burgess MSc Osteopath
Hi, I'm Olivia, I'm excited to have joined the team here at Active Therapy as an Osteopath.
I graduated in 2021 with a Masters in Osteopathy after 5 years of studying, 2 of which included working within a busy London based university clinic. I have a background in yoga and sports massage, training as a 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher in 2015 and more recent years undertaking an ITEC diploma in sports massage therapy.
I am a keen rock climber/boulderer and love the outdoors. Most of my holidays involve boulders in forests, chalky hands and repetitively falling off tiny holds (for non-climbers, chalk is used for grip..nothing weird!).
I find keeping active and spending time in nature helps me feel my best. Last year began an obsession with cold water exposure. Starting with daily cold showers (just 30 seconds!), and leading to ice baths and cold water dips in the minus figures. Great for post-exercise recovery and good mental health, and not forgetting to mention the natural buzz experienced after being submerged in winter mountain lake water.
I love working with people and helping to find ways for them to feel healthier and out of pain. I look forward to meeting you soon!
encourage the healing process.
